I’ve read many books about sleeping better. The Mindful Way to a Good Night’s Sleep suggests tracking synchronicities. Well, the text says it’s a way to “bring the magic of dreams into your day.” I’m not interested in the magic of my dreams, but I do like tracking things. The book asks the reader to look for “echoes from dreams” and reflect on the meaning. Here are general (not just “dream echo”) synchronicities I noted in Feb-May 2024:
- Fringe
- Somatic healing
- “proxy”
- Lyle Lyle Crocodile
- “proxy” (again!)
- Corgis
- Pudding Roll Ups, the snack from the ‘80s-’90s
- “Exactly. See an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. See assholes all day, you’re the asshole.”
- “t-swizzle”
- The Vagina Monologues
- Zima
- Miriam Margoyles
- “deserve”
- Nirvana (Buddhist concept)
- “Drive,” in the sense of driving/chasing animals
- iguana
- MST3K skit, Mike visits Pearl on her “porch”
- “The whole ball of wax.”
- My habit tracker mentioned the Taylor Swift song “shake it off.” The book I’m reading about PTSD dreams [PTSDreams: Transform Your Nightmares from Trauma through Healing Dreamwork] just mentioned the physical act of “shaking it off.” [April 7]
- “strong girl! farm?”
- Fleabag
- A Wrinkle in Time
